CAMARILLO, Calif. – (August 26, 2004) – Lenmar Enterprises, Inc., a leading manufacturer of rechargeable batteries, battery chargers and accessories for consumer electronics, has announced an important new product in their line of battery chargers…the Fusion-USB Mach 1 Speed Charger.

      “The new Fusion-USB Mach 1 Speed Charger goes even further to meet the needs of our retailers and consumers by integrating a USB-type power port,” said Marty Goldberg, Lenmar CEO. He continued, “The user can now charge AA/AAA/NiMH or Li-Ion batteries in the main recharge area while recharging another device such as a cell phone, PDA or MP3 through the USB-type power port. In short, one unit does it all, and it does it all at the same time!”

      As with the original Fusion device, the Fusion-USB charger comes standard with adapter plates for lithium ion batteries for Sony and Canon camcorders and digital cameras, and AA/AAA batteries, plus a set of two NoMEMPro 2000 mAh AA Ni-MH batteries.

      Importantly, a cable and various connector tips designed to fit the most common cellular phones are also supplied to provide easy connectivity to the USB-type power port and a host of manufacturer’s products.

      The Fusion USB Mach 1 Speed Charger utilizes Lenmar’s improved, patented NeoTherm2™ technology to deliver a rapid charge, without overcharging, by continuously monitoring and conditioning the battery. No matter the chemistry, as long as the device is between 3.6V-7.4V NeoTherm2 will automatically, quickly and safely charge the battery. It also stabilizes the temperature of a battery as it charges, preventing overheating, and thereby extending battery life up to five times longer than most charging systems and improving battery performance. Electronic device owners now only have to carry one charger and they can charge more than one item at the same time. Finally, they don’t have to wait hours to charge their batteries. Digital camera and camcorder batteries can be charged in as little as 30 minutes (which is at least 2-3 times faster than competitive speed chargers.) Up to four AA/AAA batteries can be charged in about an hour.

The Fusion-USB Mach 1 SpeedCharger includes four adapter plates (for Canon and Sony digital cameras and camcorders and a combination AA/AAA plate), LED status indicators, international voltage support (100-240V AC), a car cigarette lighter adapter (12 VDC) that enables you to fully charge batteries on the road, a USB-type charging cable (consumers can also utilize the original USB charge cables that were supplied with their devices), connector plugs to charge cell phones and an industry-leading three-year warranty. Adapter plates for other digital camera and camcorder models and tips for cellular phones, PDA’s and MP3 players will also be available.
