Hybrids ---> Good? And Where are they from? - 2008/02/20 01:26
John,
Hybrids came out pretty fast after the introduction of the Sanyo Eneloop and the Rayovac Hybrid.
There are over a dozen brands out there now, but don't be fooled.
Many of these brands are OEM. Just like DVD -R, VHS tapes, cassettes etc ....
Everybody thinks that there are tons of manufacturers, qualities and technologies.
Most of these are just bought in volume and re-packaged as a name or no-name brand.
If you look at some of the results from the LSD tests, some of these Low Self Discharge ( LSD ) NiMH really do last many, many months.
If you look at the regular NiMH self-discharge tests, what you are saying is about right.
Also, we have tested the Hybrids, and have not seen a significant drop in capacity after 10 charges.
I hope I have more to come.

PS> How about some feedback on your feeling or experience about these Hybrid LSD NiMH batteries.
Also, is anyone interested in donating ( 2 batteries is all we need ) or sending us ( we will mail them back ) new batteries for testing.
We would love to test many of those eBay wonders???!?!?!?!?!,
But the cumulative shipping charges are ridiculous.
I really don't know how those eBay shops make a sale? They make a huge profit on their shipping, and I don't see the price value once all the charges are added up.
Whenever I've gotten a package, and paid, say 9.95US for shipping, It actually only cost $1.50 as per the postage stamps.
Personally, I do not recommend buying on eBay.

Message_input: I stumbled across your site this morning.I purchased MAHA Hybrids online from a place and they accidently sent Sony CycleEnergy Hybrids. Now after reading on this about Hybrids I have doughts for them, because I read where after a few charges they could loose 1/2 thier charge capacity.
Would there be much difference in Sony and MAHA Hybrid batteries? Also,I dont see anything on those Sony Batteries.
I also have Energizer 2500 mAH but some seem to loose their charge very quickly within 2-3 weeks while the others do fairly well.I dont have a matching set,so 3 good an 1 bad dont do too good in my camera flash.
I dont use it often but I want to have charged batteries when I want to use it,so my question would be, Would the RA's work well for me or should I get regular rechargable NiMH?
Sorry this is so long, John
