Yes, long term use of batteries is a good issue to take for account. Have in mind also that here in Puerto Rico, USA, we have a temperature of about 80 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit almost all the year. I am charging and recharging batteries using a fan while charging. I have noticed they read more amp hours with the fan on. The fan is not used in high power, just a little bit of wind to keep batteries at a lower temperature while charging.
