Dear Viewers,
This discussion started out as a question regarding how RBR tests the batteries.
There was a false statement saying that we compare our test results to the manufacturers results from a so called "Standard" Testing procedure.
I want to make things very clear for everyone. We simply test the rechargeable batteries and report our results. Our results are compared to the "Labelled Capacity" on the package or battery.
Regardless of what any data or specification sheet says, many of you, the consumers, will make a buying decision based on the price and the "Labelled Capacity" on the package or battery. Some of you might even have other additional sources or reasons for making a specific buying decision.
To make things clear, once and for all, there will be a new article next week in the FAQs & Info / Test Methods section that will clarify:
1. Exactly what it is that RBR does.
2. How the manufacturers might possibly do tests.
3. Explanations as to why or how our results may differ.
4. How you should interpret and use our results.
5. additional information.
For those of you that are interested in this kind of thing, I hope it will clear up any possible questions regarding the information we provide here at Rechargeable Battery Review.
We will make this article readily accessible from many pages on the website.
