Digimate AAA 1000 breakdown - 2007/04/11 03:47
I am not sure what happened, but we charged the Digimate AAA 1000 mAh battery a few times at a very soft rate.
The second time we inserted the battery into a test unit, it self destructed when it was put under load.
Very concerning. It obviously shorted internally. This same test unit has been used for hundreds of tests, and is still being used.
In any case, the excess heat and gas was not pleasant and might normally have melted any plastic device holding it.
If any of you have similar experiences with a battery, please post it.
